‣  even as a child, junho always held an interest in detective work and solving cases.‣  he also knew all of the officers and detectives through his father and promised someday he would work alongside them.‣  he would also help here and there with cases, which he received praise for due to his sharp skills and quick thinking, especially for / as a child.‣  several years later, he kept his promise and was hired at seoul national police agency as a junior police detective once he was old enough to work ﹔ making him the youngest one there.‣  prior to becoming a detective, he had to work as a police officer for a few years ─ so he also has experience as such.‣  after a year of working in korea, he was flown out to australia to handle a major case.‣  this is where he developed his heavy australian accent ﹔ having attended school there as well for the duration of his time there.‣  upon returning to korea after 3 years, he decided to open a cafe called cafe layla, which is named after his dog.

kang jun ﹣ ho was a very hardworking young man. as it was his dream since childhood to be a detective, he studied very hard and served for a few years as a cop before finally achieving his dream job.despite his young age, he came to be a very dedicated and notable detective in the national police department in seoul.with his consistently thriving reputation, it was no surprise that he caught the eyes of a few history buffs ─ specifically those who knew of prince je─hyeon from the joseon period.the aforementioned group stopped at nothing to connect the dots between jun─ho and je─hyeon ﹔ especially focusing on the fact that the two boys somehow looked exactly alike. .. as if jun ﹣ ho was the prince reincarnated.through the “power of the internet”, this knowledge spread quickly ﹔ and so wherever jun─ho went, reporters hoping to get their next story on this topic would pester him to answer their questions, as well as (once again) the history buffs who would essentially “stalk” him.but in the midst of all this unwanted attention, the news caught the eye of someone who jun─ho would eventually find out had malicious intentions.for this was none other than his cousin, the son of their great-great-great uncle who also knew very well of their family’s history. he knew everything, from the family feud to the prince’s assassination.and unfortunately for jun─ho, his cousin took the feud very seriously. he despised jun—ho and his family, even if it was over an ongoing generational feud that didn’t directly concern him.if it wasn’t for jun─ho’s great-great-great grandparents, his family wouldn’t be struggling to make ends meet.this also put the detective in consistent danger, in the form of threatening letters  ╱  packages, attempted kidnappings, and worst case scenario, near ﹣ death experiences that ﹙ thankfully ﹚ were never successful.still, they were enough to put him in the hospital, even if he was unharmed aside from shock.he had no choice but to walk around with his own team of security guards, hired by his father, which sometimes drew even more attention to him as he would be mistaken for a celebrity.but as everyone around jun─ho caught on that it’s no longer safe for him to be left alone, he had no choice but to live his life in this way, lest he end up in the wrong place or in the wrong hands.

— it has yet to be confirmed, but after some digging around, junho learned (to his surprise) that he has a paternal half - brother named kang do﹣hyeon.— do﹣hyeon was around junho's age (19) when he was born.— unfortunately, do﹣hyeon was reported to have disappeared years ago — and no one has been able to find him since then.— however, junho has been determined to find his long lost brother ﹔ and is still trying to find out about his whereabouts to this day.
